Wow!

Great tank! Great photos! I love the colors of those fish.

Are those the german blue rams that are so colorful? Are they a schooling fish? How big do they get? (My tank is not stocked yet....)

As for schooling, no they are not schooling fish. But they do stick together alot. They are a more peaceful cichlid. Some say they get to 3 inches, but I've had my 3 males over a year and they are only 1 3/4 inches. And over the last 6 months, have not seen any growth. So I'm thinking 2 inches max. And for breeding, a pair or a trio does work well in a 10G.

Stunning. I love the dark substrate and the lush foliage together.

One word - water sprite can be...well...slightly overbearing. So if you plan to keep it in the foreground make sure you're constantly pruning! :)
Actually, I have it as mid-ground. I only have 1 sword behind it. And yes, the swords are starting to be a bit overwhelming, lol.

Nice! I dont know how you guys do it. I have tried many times but have never been able to get such good quality fotos. What is the secret? The Tank looks great!
It's all in the camera, lol. I'm using a Nikon D70s Digital SLR with a 6GB Microdrive. I'm still learning how to use it. Need to learn some of the manual settings so I can get even better pics.

Another thing about taking the pics, there's 2 techniques I use. In using either one, you never take a pic straight on, always go at a slight angle. The first way is no flash and tank lights on at night. The 2nd way is with the flash at night and tank lights off. My camera has a feature where it shines a light on the area where it will focus, and then focus. When it's focused, then the light goes out and a red light comes on. Then when you take a pic, the flash lights up the tank. If your camera doesn't have that, then you can use a flashlight to do the same. Use the flashlight to just focus the camera. After it's focused and before you push the button the rest of the way to take the pic, turn the flashlight off, then snap the pic. I've done that with an older camera. Just a couple ideas on taking pics. :)
