rd or midas?

i bought this fish yesterday at petsmart they said its a midas/rd...so im not sure...can someone help please.

it could be a cross between a midas and a rd(it's kinda hard to tell, because he is still a juvinile)

Very high probability that its a Rdxmidas cross, and as the red devil grows you will likely have trouble with his agression, Red Devils are very very agressive

since you bought it from a chain store id put money on it that is and rd/midas mix. there is no way too tell for sure , juvi or adult, you cant tell the difference , the only way too know is if you can trace the fish back too its parents of the wild.

I'd say its a mix because of the 2 shades of orange....either way it will live up to at least Part of its name (Devil). So watch that aggression.

lol - don't worry about the RD part of it's make up - Midas are aggresive enough as it is - when that thing gets to 5 inches you're gonna start losing fish - african or not. Also - the colour may settle down with time.

Never did find a fish that mine would get along with - had to get rid of him in the end - the only solution (if you keep him) is going to be another tank - good luck........
