If your interested in the Emperor 400, I will be selling one usde in about a week (gotta finish cleaning it). It's about year old, and in working condition. It also comes with, one never opened pack of filters, all the cleaning brushes, a new pack of bio wheels. It's in good condition, runs well, 50 bucks plus shipping..

Yes, definately up the filtration. That tank is gonna be seriously overstocked soon, if it isnt' already. Tinfoil Barbs can get to a foot in length, goldfish are massive waste producers and can get large, silver dollars can get big. The plec will get huge, and produce what seems like miles of poo.

The long yellow fishie with the stripes, if they are horizontal, could be an auratus. Agressive lake Malawi cichlid, not a good idea. The green tetra I dunno...could it be dyed?

The strawberry and blueberry tetras are dyed fish, also .

Now, what are your ammonia and nitrite readings? I would be surprised if your filtration can keep up with this load, but if they are small still, it's possible.

I would give serious thought to trading in the silver dollar and the tinfoil and the goldies for some more tiger barbs. Tiger barbs are known to be nippers if not in a school of at least 5-6 fish. Actually, serpaes, and longfin tetras prefer to be in a school as well. So do the dollars and tinfoils, just not an option in a 55g tank IMO.

Sorry to seem pessimistic about your fish, I just forsee a ton of trouble cropping up in this tank in the not too distant future with the ones you have in there.
