Was wondering everbodies opinion on re-using eheim filter media. I purchased a filter second hand and it came with an old bucket of substrate for the filter. Can i rinse and wash it real well then use it, boil it to clean it real well or chuck it and purchase new. I would rather spend money elsewhere and re-use it if possible cause it is kind of expensive to fill the filter.
