what is the biggest type of cichlid? i have 2 red devil cichlids, and the biggest one is about 7 in... is this its max?

Boulengerochromis microlepis is one of the larger cichlids, maybe even the biggest. Red devils grow to 14" according to this site.

Boulengerochromis microlepis is the largest, give or take a monster Peacock Bass.

Like Unexpected said Red Devils can get upwards of 14". Like some of the other large CA cichlids (Tri-Mac, Viejas, Midas, Jaguars, and Dovii or Wolf Cichlids)

That would also be Boulengerochromis microlepis Its from Lake Tanganyika, reaches about 3' long.

Lake Tanganyika is also home to some of the smallest cichlids as well, with Neolamprologus multifaciatus adult females sometimes not reaching 1".

i agree with orion tangs rock!!! except some of the cooler ones are a little harder to find huh? im figuring this out now with an almost empty fish tank haha...
