Its a bit small . I like my betta boys to have a tad more room to swim around. Its a cool idea though...if it were a big bigger (say 5g or so) I'd think about getting one.
That thing is tiny. Not enough for a sand partical let alone a betta. Betta's have been tortured for long. There should be a law. Betta tanks should be 5 G and above. Poor Betta's
"This unique aquarium is intended for Betta fish, a fish found in small pockets of water that thrive in small bowls due to their ability to surface breathe."
Should read:
"This unique aquarium is intended for Betta fish, a fish found in small pockets of water that can SURVIVE in small bowls for a few days due to their ability to surface breathe."
well it really depends on species, betta splendens is one of the larger, more active species, but there are some others that could live there lives out in that pocket of water.
Hey, maybe if there is a "handy" person out there, maybe a bigger version can be built. I wouldn't think it would be too difficult. I'm sure people would buy it!
Maybe I'm retarded, but I would think that would be really difficult to maintain...how would you do the water changes? Unscrew the ball? Where would you set it down? Let's not even talk about regulating the temperature...
