Really dumb question.

I have one of those thermometers that suction cups to the front of the glass, and starting two days ago I can't get it to stick anymore. I've tried to clean the algae off the glass incase that was it, but it still won't stick. It sort of seems like maybe the suction cup is bad. Should I go drop like 3 dollars on a new one or is this a pretty common problem with an easy fix?

Thats odd...maybe dry off the whole thing, wet the suction cup stick it on the glass above water, and then slide it down into the water? If that makes sense...I have some weird suction cups that don't "stick" after a little while...sometimes this works.

My suggestion is the same as betta lover22's. If that doesn't work then I would just buy a new one.

The rubber loses its pliability over time, or can get tiny cracks, and won't hold a seal. If you've cleaned the glass and cups really well and they still won't stick, it's time to drop the 3 bucks.
