really quite air pump

yo im looking for a really quite air pump as i have my tank in my room, and dont want it to be too noisey. can people recommend any?

I wouldn't get one If your filter is good, you really don't need one. It just wastes electricity.

If you really want one for good looks... get a Whisper series airpump. Don't go Rena or any other.

i only really wanted one for my tiger barbs to play in.

The bigger the pump the noisier it will be - but small pumps will only power small airstones.

You could put it on a timer so it's off at night (when the fish will be quiet anyway)

Ive found theres not really such thing as what i would call a quiet air pump. If you just want it for the bubble and the visual effect get a small one and have it on a timer in the day. But otherwise if you have good filtration i wouldent bother

i do have really good filtration i have one tetratec fx 700 (external), and a jewel filter that came build in with my tank. its really just for decoration so theres something else going on in the tank..

These timers are basically timers that you can use with your lights... you can get them at Walmart, some petstores, Home Depot, Lowe's, etc.
