My small slim Glowlight Tetra is nipping at the anal fin of the larger more robust Glowlight Tetra. Can someone shed light on this? I doubt they are breeding because they need soft water dont they?
Anything is possible -- the fish can certainly spawn in any pH, tho the eggs may or may not hatch if the pH isn't close to typical for their natural environment.
The skinnier glowlights are males and the fatter ones are females. The males are chasing the females...its normal. It may not be breeding, but it is normal....mine do this too.
