i don't frequent this part of MFT often, fortunately, but...
we acquired a small calico telescope eye goldfish earlier this week. he looked fine when we first got him, but the next day when i peeked at him he was resting on a fake log. i thought he was dead at first but then he began to swim around a little. now he seems to be swimming much better, but his right eye is turning red - it started out as just a little spot but the spot has quickly gotten bigger.
any ideas what this might be? he's in a 10 gallon tank with another goldfish. i know this is too small for them, hopefully it is only a temporary home while they are still not very large. but please help me out for poor little thomas's sake!
