red eyed tetras, first fish

I just got my first fish(es) 3 blood eyed tetras. Two of them doing fine, eating, playing, etc.. but the first stays on top hitting the glass...

Glad they are doing great. I just got my second fish tank today, and it is BIG. Good luck with your new fishies!

I like our red-eyed tetras. We have 3 of them in a 55g tank with tiger barbs and other semi-aggressive fish. The tigers do tend to make the tetras hide, but not too much. I haven't really learned much about their personalities, but something that I did notice is that they like algae wafers (and of course, the tropical flakes and any frozen foods that I feed as a snack). I break up the wafers into little pieces and the tetras will grab one up and swim around with it in it's mouth, chewing on it until it's gone. They're fun to watch!
