red fromia star

so my sister was being "cool" and dropped by yesterday and brought me a red fromia star. Shes aid the guy at the LFS said it was reef safe and thats what i heard so i took it. couple questions.

Will my hermit crabs mess with it?

Will the starfish eat the clams that im gonna purchase soon?

Is the starfish reef safe from what i've read this one is but any personal accounts would be appreciated?

I havent had any personnal accounts, looked online and it appears to be reef safe. Your hermits shouldnt mess with it...and it shouldnt mess with the clams.
