I have noticed that my tank is getting more and more red inside. This red stuff is attatching itself to my fake plants and decorations and on the little filter things .It's a 55 gallon tank with mostly platies in it and with some little quarries ( look like little catfish) and 2 big plecos. What is this and how can i get rid of it and make it not come back? any help would be appreciated.

What are your water parameters and how long has the tank been set up? Depending on those things, I think people could answer your questions better.
Now, how red are we talking? (edit) And what does "stuff" mean? Because to me it sounds like brown algae which under a bright enough light, could look a little reddish. Pictures would help if you can take any.
