My Red Sword tail has a couple of red blotches on its side. Also appears that his dorsal fins are stuck together. Is this some sort of disease? Could the other fish have attacked her? Should I get rid of her before she dies?

Red blotches? How long have you had the fish? How long as the tank been set up? If it's a parasite or something, it's likely your whole tank is already infected, so "getting rid of" the sick one won't really do anything. Need more info, a picture would help a lot.

It is possible that she is pregnant. There is a male sword tail in the tank. she's been resting a lot and hiding in this fake turtle I have in the tank. I'm new to fish, so I'm not sure what to expect. I'll try to post a photo of her. One side of her almost looks like she was bitten.

Pregnant sword tails don't usually hide. At least not the ones I've experienced. They're usually just as active as the other fish. Hiding or laying on the gravel is never a good sign. It could be a fungal infection and it's eating her scales away.

If you're new to fish tanks, you may want to read up on cycling. It is *possible* that the red "sores" you see are ammonia burns. In which case you'll have bigger problems very soon.
