i recently bought 3 red tial sharks from my local petco and there are 2 specific sharks that are rubbing against each other and chasing each other around. it doenst look to be a territorial issue because every now and then they gently rub against each other for a period of time. im really confused on what to think of their behavior. Are they mating, fighting? i dont know. please help. thanks

They are most likely mating. That sounds exactly like the way my mollies act when they are mating. Do some research and see if you can tell the difference between the males and the females. The male should be the one chasing the female (duh). :p

If they were fighting, they would be more aggressive and picking at each others fins and scales.

I wrote this on the duplicate post:
"Breeding red tail sharks is extremely rare, whereas fighting among themselves is extremely common. I'd suspect the latter...sometimes aggression is mild-looking at first. Might want to consider only keeping one."
