red tail shark w/ cichlids?

I have a 55g tank but a pleco is out of the question. they can get pretty big so i really dont want to go that route. I just purchased a couple of red tail shark for my 20g and they seem pretty cool. can i put a couple in my 55 with 9 other cichlids?

How many red tails? Maybe if they were a bit older Like about 6 inches or longer. And you should only keep one red tail or more than six because of their aggression as they grow older.

i put a red tail about 4 inches in with 2 red zebras that were about 6 inches and the red tail lasted 4 days then was tore apart,
so i dont suggest it, but thats my opinion

no brave fish is right - you want one or a large group.

so can i just add one to it or should i look into something a little bigger that will stand a chance

the red tail shark would eventually get beaten up so dad by the other cichlids that it would die.
