ok so I bought a red tailed botia loach as one of my first 2 fish. I then read that they like company *** after doing reasearch I now know that company is not 1 more but many*** But instead of fully reading the article I left my house off to buy another one. In another post I wrote that i think these 2 were breeding, this thought has changed in the past few days. I feed my fish every other day because my tank is still newly established and I dont want to be responsible for over feeding. During feeding time give my other fish flakes and the loaches pellets on the 1st day and i give all fish a mix of blood worms and brine shrimp on the 3rd day. I use a small surringe to get the food to the bottom, past the parrots and gouramis for the loaches. During feeding the 1st bought and bigger of my 2 loaches, aptly named jaws, becomes very aggressive with the smaller one also aptly named hooper. he chases him away and eats, i then feed the smaller one when it is in the corner with the surringe. after feeding the bigger one continues to chase the smaller one around for 15 sometimes 20 minutes very aggressively so much so that the smaller one hides behind the heater or actually comes to the top of the tank which is weird for them right? I feel horrible for the small one, I wanted to take the larger one back, but the store will not take it because they currently dont have any more of them to put them with (or so they say) will this eventually stop, what should i do?
