I am curious if these smaller sharks can live in a community setting. I've heard that they are only aggressive to their own species. Is that true? Also, can they live with gouramis, tetras, mollies platys and cories?
I appreciate the help :)

They are very aggressive with their own or similar species. With others, they are semi-aggressive. Both will hold their own with cichlids. I would not recommend either with most fish considered 'community fish.' I would also recommend a minimum tank size for either as 55 gallons. Floor space is more important than height (unlike angels who like height over floor space), due to the shape and where they live in a tank.
