There is this one redtail shark I have that is much fatter than the other two and he/she also has a pink tail not red. Any thoughts on what is wrong. ThankS
It's probably a female. Don't forget that all fish have different coloration and don't always conform to standards. Some red tail sharks can have orange tails instead of red.
If you get Redtails to breed in your tank be sure to document how you did it as its very hard to do without a huge-huge-huge tank. Most breeders do not even attempt this, them import them from Thailand or surrounding areas.
She can't get pregnant, but she could be filled with unfertilized eggs. They go through spawning behavior and the eggs have to survive and grow. Captive breeding for red tail sharks are very uncommon.
