Refractometer?

I wasn't sure if I should post this here or in the equipment section, but I figured it would get more exposure here.

What refractometer do you use or recommend? I have a floating and swing arm hydrometer and am wishing I would have just bought a refractometer from the beginning...

I'm not entirely sure which one I have at home, its blue. I got it from foster & smith on sale...wasnt cheap, but was a good investment.

Do you just use RO or distilled water to calibrate it or should I order some calibration solution as well?

There is an artical I believe in the "Marine & Reef Aquarium USA 2007 Annual" magazine that discusses how they work, what they do and how to best calibrate them.

Sorry I don't remember off the top of my head what it said and I still only use a hydrometer that I have had for about 5 yrs now.

I used distilled to calibarte mine, but you could use either one. I don't think that 'calibrations solution' is needed.
