Hi All,

Need to put some meds in the tank to remove White Spot but the Filter is running with Carbon bags in it, whats the best way to remove these from the filter without completely removing it from running the tank?

Can I just turn the power off and open with care remove the carbon then turn it on and it should work, for info the filter is an external Fluval 305

Thanks

Yep, you can do exactly that. Just turn off the power, lock off the hoses and remove the headstop and pop the side clips to remove the motor assembly. Make sure you replace the motor assembly and tighten the clips in the correct order. I'm assuming it is the same as the 04 series where one side has to be done before the other.

If in doubt RTFM. (Read the friendly manual)
