Rescued Betta

Well, decided to grab my cousin's betta and heal her back up from the torn fins. This is what she looks like on day 2 with me, her stomach has gotten stuffed with flakes and soon live brine shrimp.

She is curing at the moment, she was in a 29g tank w/ the old fish that I gave to my cousin. He just left the betta in the tank suffering so I took her home w/ me.

Here is an updated picture of her, she is very healthy now.

There were many things that was wrong with her, just think of a female betta in a 29 gallon tank with a gold fish, 2 yellow labs, 2 angel fish, 2 swordtails and you'll know what would be wrong with her.

Good job, she's looking good. Don't overfeed her, she may get indigestion.

Nope, no over feeding she is just a pig and goes around the whole tank looking for more food.

she looks a little hefty though- you might want to cut back a bit. Otherwise she looks great.

Good job... ya Angels are not a good mix with bettas. She looks better, but Like Ashleigh said, cut down on the food till her belly looks more trim - overeating can easily cause swimbladder.
