i was just wondering should i take the foam covering off the pump so that the pods can get sucked back up into the main tank?

i left it on mine since i usually have to clean it off about every month or so.... if u take it off youll have to actually clean to pump rather than just rinse off pad....thas just my opinion

Won't the pods hit the impeller in there anyway and meet their doom? (the unlucky ones at least)

I would imagine being so small, only a few wont make it, but most will. I wouldnt take the sponge off either, due to cleaning the water, and in the dead spots(behind the intake nozzle for ex) could be apotential breeding ground for pods. Any space is welcome for pods, and i would take all i can get.
