Riot or Harmony? Suggestions welcome!!

I have an idea, but i'm not sure if it'll workout.

Ok, here's the deal I would like to cycle a 55 gallon or larger. And i would like to make it a dwarf cichlid tank(plastic planted aswell)

Now I was wondering will this workout?. Is there certain types that need to be in pairs or can they be kept alone? Are there certain types that will tear eachother apart?

Any stocking suggestions would be helpful or an yother pointers would be helpful!

From what I understand yuo can keep most apistos and rams together. I wouldn't include kribs in the mix though because they have a tendancy to be a bit beligerent towards other dwarfs.

i would get a harem of either apisto. agassizii, ,or cacatuiodes (they are the most commonly found apistogrammas, and are among the most beautiful) a harem of one (or possibly two) males, and four or five females, add some corydoras to clean the bottom, plus some dither fish (i like white clouds, or some small tetras), add sand and plants and you'd have an amazing tank.
