So I lost my demasoni on the weekend. Poor little guy. Not sure what happened to him, but he was stuck on the filter. I noticed some rocks fell down so I figured that he was amidst the falling rocks and went to close to the filter and got sucked in. Poor little guy. When we found him he wasn't quite dead yet so we set up a hospital tank. Because it was on the fly it basically was a 5 gal bucket with a air tube set up aswell as a heater. No filter but I planned on clearing out some water everyday and putting in fresh water. Because i didn't have time for the water to cycle I put in some bio support and some chlorine remover (chems from the LFS). He looked as if he was doing ok and I thought that he was going to make it. I went to wal mart (LFS Was closed) and picked up some melafix. The demasoni looked alright, I thought he was going to make it but sadly he passed away sometime yesterday night.

You have to wonder, of all the fish, the demasoni got stuck at the filter. he is (or was) the fastest fish in my tank. My husband and I are in morning, my husband because he loved that fish, and me because he cost me $40.00!

Thanks all.

Ouch to the wallet...especially for a Demasoni! Sorry about your loss, it always hurts especially when they are your favorite.

Probably not, My husband and I have an understanding, no more fish for the cichlid tank, its going to get overpopulated, we just gave away 3 fish to my father in law to kind of control the population.
