Rock Kribensis, are they right for me?

Well my friend just got a pair of rock kribensis and they are so kool. I wanna know if a couple would be good in a 20g. It will be lighly planted to start off but then I will plant it heavier with some anubias. But would they? If they have special requirements pls tell me, and if they can be placed with other fish(most likely other cichlids) pls tell me.

I've done a little kribs (assuming rock kribensis are the same as normal kribs) research in the last few days.

I think they get about 4". According to what I've read, 20 gal is about the low end limit for a breeding pair to exist peacefully - but I don't think you'd want to have any tankmates with them.

Well I dont think I can do any sort of rock exhibit for them because I barely have enough money for them. Well I know I asked about Kribs, but what else might you recomend that doesn't need a rock or isn'trequired for rock work?

As far as smaller, less agressive cichlids?

Rams, Apistos, Keyhole Cichlids, Festivums, normal Kribs...

From what I've been told, they're perfectly peaceful - until they start breeding.

Then, they could be anywhere from defensive of their fry to downright abusive/murderous to the other fish in the tank...

So on Kribs I could keep 1 perfectly by itself, what about something for the bottom of the tank?

I think the idea with Kribs is to keep a pair, but I suppose you could keep one by itself with other fish without incident.

I don't know about bottom feeders.

yeah have breed Kribs they come into there own when breeding so keeping one wouldnt be exiting but wouldnt be a problem would recomend female though
