Well, when I do water changes I use the water from my lfs (so ro/di and all that gopod stuff from their show tanks) anyway, they have a pump that pumps water from their saltwater tanks and freshwater tanks. Currently when I do top offs I use tap water. Would it be safe to use the freshwater from the lfs for my saltwater top offs? or will it cause problems.

well the water they sell is from their show tanks. So its all ro/di but like it comes from their big freshwater show tanks, so freshwater fish are in it, and when they do water changes they sell the water they tanke out. Would that still be ok?

I wouldnt do that, if its coming from there stock tanks, the LFS could be getting new corals for that tank daily...that means a lot of potential diseases...personally I wouldnt risk it or pay it.
