Ok, I'm getting brave on my 55 gallon. There seems to be a good, acceptable level of algae to munch on for some plecos that I really, really want. I can't decide between a Royal and a Bristlenose so I did some reading and see that most pleco's don't do good together. Eventually I am going to move up to a 120 so I'm not worried about growth over a few years. My question to you is if you think the two of these (each about 3" that I saw at the LFS) would do okay without killing one another? I have two large pieces of driftwood and plenty of plastic-o-plants so I don't even think they'd run into each other much. Thanks for any insight.

I don't really see a problem with that, I have about a 6 to 7 inch common pleco that I kept with a gold lined royal pleco, and they did fine together, the royal almost always stayed on the top of a piece of driftwood, and the pleco usually under it, but I never saw any aggression toward one another. It's good to get them together if they are younger, as it sounds like they are.
