FYI, I decided to just get the royal pleco for now and see how he cleaned up my tank. Holy smokes! I'm glad I only got him and not the additional bristlenose for now because he is one mighty algae cleaning machine. I have two fairly large pieces of driftwood for my 55 gallon that were covered fairly well on their tops as well as misc surfaces around the tank and he has managed to clean off 90% off everything in less than week since we got him!

I thought some of you might like this pic I took when I first got him. This photo was also taken as one of my "puff puff's" (as my wife calls them -- a.k.a. dwarf puffers) 'discovered' him. He is about 3.5" and I think is a lyretail royal pleco (?).

Thanks! I use a Fuji S602 Zoom that I originally bought to cover a wedding for a friend. It's a 6MP camera but I rarely use it in more than 3MP mode because the file sizes are unruly to work with, even on my 340MB microdrive.

Hah. My puffs are pretty sweet (except to each other during feeding occasionally). I really only noticed their aggression when we first got them and couldn't figure out what to feed them for the first few days. Once we popped in some frozen brine shrimp that they were used to eating the LFS they've been cool ever since.
