sae missing!

I've bought 3 sae one day and now I can only find 2 of them! I couldn't find the 3rd one, nor a dead body!!
Where can it go? The rest of the fish in the tank doesn't seem to be big enough to swallow it!!

It could've wound it's way into your filter. Or it may just be hiding if it's a recent addition.

Also, it could be possible that if it died your other fish could've picked at it.

If you have any caves or anything he could get into, I would check them first.

i have 3 SAE and its like a scavenger hunt to find them all.

sometimes they sit at the top of the tank on the powerhead, or under the filter intake, or in a plant, or behind the heater.

i think they just like to hide when they aren't looking for food......

I lost my female apistogramma ... she always hid in one plant. One day stopped coming out ... i searched the plant many times but never found her.

just wonder, do your sae eat flakes?? I seem to see them chasing around and eat flakes when i feed my other fish!

I've noticed my SAE eat flakes from now and then. But then again, he's eaten most of the algae in my tank so I can't blame him.
