I think of the larger ones are neat but I have a friend that had her tank overrun with the buggers. Are there any types of snails that won't reproduce like rabbits? Thanks.

japanese trapdoor snails supposedly only reproduce twice a year

also some kinds of "mystery" snails are sexually dimorphic so someone who could tell the difference could get all males or females you'd have to do a bit of research, alot of different species of snails may be labeled as mystery snails

also if you dont over feed this may keep the population down cuz snail population will only grow if your tank can support it

"mystery snail" is when the LFS employee doesn't know what it is<G>!

Even in a dimorphic species, there is no garuntee your female won't be fertilized while in residence before purchase. They store sperm.
