Safe to stock labs and then add the others?

This potential mbuna tank of mine has been sitting, fishless, with ammonia being constantly added for almot eight months now!

All because I have lacked the funds to stock it, and the intended stock is 3 labs and 3 of someone else...likely p. demasoni or p. acei.

I know it's supposed to be best to stock all at once...but I was wondering since the labs are supposed to be relatively mellow, if maybe it's safe (since I have some loot) to start with the labs and add the second species when I get a little more money?

Or is it dangerous? Therefore should I wait until I have enough money to put everyone in at once?

I have a 45 that started with a trio of labs (that have had several hatches of fry, of which 3 fry have survived to adulthood).

I recently removed the "fry" (they were from 2-3"...) and added a trio of Aulonocara nyassae.

Everyone has gotten along very well, no aggression issues whatsoever...

this kinda goes with my question I just posted to you milo:

I was told when adding new fish to a cichlid tank (territorial fish) that you should move everything around when you add them... (so again the question of, if this is true... how much stuff is to much or to little?)
