Salt Water/Fresh Water Test Kits

I have a full Freshwater test kit (Amonia, pH, Nitrate, Nitrite, High pH) that I thought would work for my salt water as well. But when I looked at it the color charts only one (I think Nitrite) would work for both. Does anyone know if the whole test kits are different between fresh and salt, or is it just the color charts that are different?

Depends on the brand. My ammonia kit does both (although I have one for each anyway). PH is definately different because of the higher ranges. There are also other tests you only use for SW: alk, cal, mag.
