Salvin's cichlid

Does anyone out there know the care requierments for a Salvin's cichlid (also known as the Tricolor Ciclid)? I saw a picture of one in a boock and just fell in love with it. Also, would anyone know where to find one? My LFS dosen't carry them. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Very nice fish they are. Good bright colors usually. I usually tell people basically a profile, but i like this one so much i'm just gonna link it. Has a few pics too.

You might try asking them to special order them for you. Chances are they are on the wholesaler list but the LFS chooses not to stock them. Other than that, your only other option is probably online from a breeder.

i was also thinking about getting a salvins cichlid . they seem pretty cool, could one live in a 29g?
