San Francisco Freshwater aquirum pictures

So about a month ago i went to San Francisco for an Architecture school trip. One place we went to was the California Acdimey of science. It was so amzing! Here are the freshwater pictures, i posted a link for the saltwater ones in that section on here. enjoy!

It is an amazing place! We had our 2yo in tow when we went so we didn't get to spend as much time as I would have liked. But would love to go again One aspect I was especially amazed at was how all the aquariums were both visible from above water and below. That was great to see it from both perspectives.

Yeah I told my friends that i would probably be awhile and would catch up later The skylights bring in a majority of the neccary lighting, and open up to regulate temp. There are tranparent solar panels in a covered area to produce electricity to suppliment lighting that is needed in winter and also the metal halides used in the saltwater reef area.

I wish i had some sort of tripod so i could have taken better pictures, very dark in the whol area. I also loved how you got to see most everything from above and below.
