hi, i was thinking about putting sand in my tank as opposed to gravel, some time this summer, i have two different types of plants(in the pictures), two dwarf gouramis, 6 ghost shrimp, and maybe a chinese algae eater if i dont decide to get rid of it. they are all in a 20 gallon high tank. is there anything that i should know before i do it??

1. Rinse/clean your sand first.
2. Don't remove all your gravel, leave a small layer on the bottom of the tank to keep some of the beneficial bacteria.
3. Don't run your filter until all the sand settles.
4. The Chinese algae eater will eat your ghost shrimp eventually.
