I put some blanched brocoli and cucumber in the saulosi tank today, and the saulosi went crazy for it!
Not sure why the males color looks kinda white, but hes much more vibrant in real life! and sorry for the quality, my cam isnt very good at taking videos.

....I think they like it :p...

Wow, they're really pecking away at that broccoli!
And near the end of the vid the male looks like he's about to dig a tunnel right through to the other side of that chunk of cucumber!

The fish look good...seems to me that they are bigger now than the last time I saw them...must be from all those treats you've been feeding them.

LOL thanks BV! Yeah they are getting big now the male is about 3 inches and so is the 'sub dom male'.
Im not sure the the 'sub dom male' is actually male because he hasnt colored up at all. The only difference i see between him and the females is that he has an egg spot and he had more black on his dorsal fin.
edit for some new pics of the male :):
this pic was taken with flash, as you can see his color gets really washed out with flash on.

this was taken with flash off. This pic shows his real color, but the pic is out of focus and dark.

Those are both really good pics of a fairly active fish...
I'm assuming they do the whole dart forward a bit, pause, dart forward again, turn, pause, etc., etc.....cichlid swimming.

It's tough to time it so you click that button during the exact moment of the pause, eh? (esp. for no-flash pics) My shoulders have gotten sore doing this! (I think I need a tripod or something, lol).

Very nice colors on that fish of yours!
I'd like to see similar pics of your 'sub-dom male' now too...I'm curious to get a closer look and see how 'he' or 'she' compares to the dominant male. ;)

Lol yeah they do swim in the cichlid fashion, but his pause is like 0.00001 seconds, so its really hard to get a non-flash pic of him. It seems flash has a quicker shutter speed, and im not sure why no flash cant have the same shutter speed!!

I will get some pics of the sub-dom male tonight and i will put them in my other saulosi thread :)
