If i get like 3 different types of tetras(5 or 6 of each) will they school seperatly or will they form a larger school of all types?

depends... I hear that they will all school together and then break off into their own schools... most likely they will stay separate. Really depends on how much room they have. What size tank were you thinking?

I just put five neon tetras in my 20g thats all the live stock i have in there at the moment

I dont think neons will school with like black skirts... but most likely cardinals or maybe black neons...

Depending on the body shapes, some tetras will school with others. Depends on the fish though. I can tell you from experience though that one large school of one type of fish looks much more impressive than a bunch of odds and ends. You don't have room for more than one school of fish in a 20g tank anyhow. Make sure you've read up on cycling a tank, especially with neons, they are very sensitive to water conditions. this is what mine do. even when i had just 2 of each. i don't have neon's though. i like the look of my variety.
