sea cucumber got cut

hi all. i have a sea cucumber that i got to day, and iv just noticed it looks likes it has a cut on its back. will this heal its self, the cucumber is still munching through my substrate.

are you sure its a cut? It should regenerate on its own if the wound isnt too serious, however if it dies it will release some nasty toxins into your tank so I would keep a close eye on it. Also maybe add iodine to help promote healing.

definitely do keep an eye on it...if possible you might even consider moving it to QT to keep an eye on it. would be a shame to have it die on you and poison the tank

yeah. ill look at doing that. it still alive. 24 hrs later. and its moved from 1 side of the tank to the other. the cut is still there but it got like a black scab on it now, so i asume its healing. its still pooing i can see a trail , thats how i found it this morning. but i will keep an eye on it.
