i am still having some troubles in my 3 gallon pico, but that is a whole other story. *twirlysmi please feel free to go to my other thread and offer me some much needed advice.

but since i'm not actually buying anything yet, i'm just "window shopping" on dr. fosters and smith's site.. and i came across these little guys: http://www.liveaquaria.com/product/prod_Display.cfm?pCatId=595 . i don't really know anything about them, but they sound easy to care for, and it says they only get to be 3 inches...

so does anyone keep a sea urchin in their [nano/pico] tank? are they easy to care for, or not so much?

in the latest drs. foster and smith catalog that i get, they say that sea urchins are really bad for nanos and pics because there isnt enough room.

they move around, knock stuff over, kill corals and sometimes attack fish

i dont have saltwater yet so i dont know but that is what i read from foster and smith

I would actually recommend a pencil urchin for a 20 gallon or bigger, they are the less destructive of the urchins, they do need algae to eat, otherwise they will munch on your coraline, but once your tank is established your coraline will grow faster than they can eat it...I have one in my 40 and I love it.
