Just a quick question,

Which algea eater should I bought and how many for a 10 gallons tank. Notice that they have to go along with 6 barbs (2 greens and 4 tigers).

Thanks all for your advice.

Your tank planted? I'm guessing not. You may try ottocinclus, 2-4, depending on your algae growth. A pleco will get too big, shrimp would be inneffective, and SAE's would starve without supplemental food. You might try Chinese algae eaters, but be forewarned they could leach onto your fish when older, but being barbs are quick, that may not be a problem.

Corys are the all around favorite bottom dwelling fish.  They stay relatively small.  They should be kept in a group, at least 3.  Ottos are great little fish too. If they are too small, I'd be a little worried about the barbs, but not too much.   Chinese algae eaters get too big.  They should be baned from pet stores.  *crazysmiley* They keep selling them, and people keep buying them because they sell them as algae eaters, which they only are when young.  Avalon mentioned what they do if they reach adulthood.

I suggest you get say 2 or 3 otto cats.  They are great little algae eaters.   *thumbsupsmiley*
