do most lfs take plants? I started my tank w/ some fast growers, like green hygro and wisteria. the wisteria, for whatever reason, died and melted and left me w/ a huge mess, I fished most of it out and trashed it. the hygro is growing like, well, hygro :p , and I'm beginning to think I need to throw some out. do you think most stores would buy them from me, or maybe even just take them off my hands? it always feels kinda bad when I throw out perfectly healthy and vigorous plants...:(

I am not sure about this board... if you get multiple variations of this thread, feel free to delete them.

Local fish stores might take them, but would probably want to give you credit instead of cash. Chain stores almost certainly won't... either fish or plants.

You can sell them on AquaBid, especially if you take PayPal.

You already got some thoughts. You might also see if you can leave your name with the stores in case they can give it to others whoi might want to buy live plants. We have a small store near me that only has plastic plants. Also you can put an ad in the paper, online, or a petsmart bullitin board.
