Could anyone out there mak ea suggestion on a bottom feeder that can hold its own?

My 90g is all semi aggresive fish- 16 tiger barbs, 4 Red Tailed Sharks 1 CAE (who is a bastard), two tin foil barbs and three red eared slider hatchlings. The reason I have all fin nippers is because they are the only ones who the turtles leave alone.

So I need something that is not a push over...I have heard american flag fish can be fairly aggresive so that is my only consideration now.

Thanks

you should go to your lfs and see what fish you like, then do some reaserch about them. a pleco would be great because you dont really have size restrictions. hehe i have a snapping turtle and it didnt touch any of my fish... yet...

yes they do eat fish, but not all they are actually quite timid when fish are nippy, so far the only fatality I have it a clown pleco (RIP). The other fish can all stay right next to the turtles with no problems...I have tried to keep them on a cricket and bloodwrom diet soo that may help curb the craving for fish...They are 7 months old and I have had them with fish since they were 2 months old. They are only about 3 1/2" long,

thanks

yea they are still small they eat about 25 small crickets EOD and also enjoy the fishes blooworms and tubiflex worms when they can get into the feeding frenzy. Once they get larger and I buy a house I will put them in their own 90 gallon with a sizeable land area for basking. Currently they have a small bamboo dock I built that they go tanning on.

i put my land turtles in a storage tub for the winter (in the summer they are outside) someone i know keeps his aquatics in tubs and kiddie pools for the winter (his are kept outside too). it works great if you have the room. and it saves money.

how did you get hatchlings? from a friend? its illegal for anyone to sell any turtle under 4 inches. its a safety precaution. not just for the owners, but also the turtles so people would see them bigger and not impulsively buy them, and so little kids dont cram them in their mouths, etc. so, where did you get hatchlings???

online from a turtle "adoption" site. There are ways around everything and theirs was that you are paying an adoption fee to save the turtle from being used for other purposes. What those purposes are, I have no clue.
