SEVERUM PROBLEM

My beloved Severum has some sort of disease  :'( :'( :'(........and i have no idea what kind of disease it is. :'(. Here are the sypmtoms she has on her lower fins some white bubble type/fuzzy thing.Does any body know what kind of disease it is. I hope she is alright. PLEASE HELP!!!!!   :'( :'( :'( :'( :'(

Sorry to say but this sounds like,Lymphocystis (a virus). Glugea or henneguya (spore forming Protozoa.
If I remember correctly there is no cure.
I would add that if it is Lymphocystis it is not normally fatal but it is contagious.
If one of the other two, when the cysts burst eveything in your tank will become infected.
I would be tempted to destroy the fish in question to avoid further problems. 8)

does it look like a clear bubble?? if so my severum has the same thing..it has had it for months now and is ok..it hasn't spread to the fish either.i asked everyone, lfs, books etc...with no luck but he has been fine..i've just added a little aquarium salt every time i do a water change to help him out..but he looks good, eats, swims etc..good luck though!  ;D

Well right now with some rocky hiding spots,she is the only one in there ,the tank is a 20 gal high and the filtration consists of a aqua clear mini and a penquin bio-wheel 125. Yes, severums are great fish to have they are kinda peaceful they are large but really pussycats.  8)
