Hi All!

As some of you know I have 3 "Green Sevs" when I purchased them, my ultimate goal was to have a pair and return/re-home the third, well it's been 5 months (give or take) and there has been much growth (wow these guys pack on the size) anyway, I believe I have 1 male & 2 females (A guess I've made based on growth rate, and slight body structure differences, hardly exact science).

My question is, they seem to be sharing the tank VERY well, the largest one (Ceasar, Male I believe) courts both females (I believe) equally, and for a short while there was some "mild" aggression between the females, but thats gone now too.

What gives? Does my male just like having a harem? or is there a bomb waiting to blow in my tank?

I've got a 90g tank lined up for next spring, and if these guys continue to be "friendly" towards each other, is there any reason I couldn't keep all three in there?

Thanks for the info guys!

Looks like all I can really do at this point is just wait it out, and see if they stay friendly long term.

Katie.....I'll try to get some pics up, I promise, of all the fish I have, my Sevs seem to be the hardest to photograph, yet they are the largest so you'd think it would be easy LOL

Personally a 90G tank is not big enough for 3 Adult Severums. I would stick to just two. When you chose to get rid of one watch your 'male' and see who he hangs out with more and if he doesnt then keeping either should be fine. As far as agression with Severums, I had one that was fine for a while with another female Severum and then out of no where all hell broke loose. I would keep an eye one them but if you say that the aggression that was present is no longer it is possible that they have developed a social order and will get along just fine.

HINT ON BREEDING:
1. put your temp to 84-86 degree.
2. do alot of w/c every other day.
3. divide one male/one female
4.dont feed them for 3 days.

REASON DOING THIS? to make the male go more aggressive

all this made my rds breed =D

good luck and keep the post going

OK, here are a few pics, per Katie's request :)

They are 'Poor Quality' these guys just won't sit still for photo op's

Here's one of Ceasar

Here's another w/ flash, the net in the background is 8" across, so you can kinda judge his size.

Here's one of him showing me the 'business end'

And here's a few of him with his 'Harem'

The Largest One (Male I believe) Is approx. 4 1/2" Nose to tail.

The other 2 are about 3" Max, maybe a bit smaller.

They were all the same size when I bought them.....1" ......5 months ago

So the largest one is packing on about 3/4" a month
