Cichlid man , all I want to know is if its a male of female , also , he/she was beat up bad by a larger convict , are those fins going to be ok?? I know it isnt fin rot , i know it was damage from the con. Also , the eyes arent cloudy , they look like that from the flash. I just want to make 100% sure that this fish will be ok. And the sex. here are more pics. thanks for the help guys.

See thats not all you wanted to know. Your first sentance sounded harsh to me. Sorry if i tried to point out that your fish didn't look in good physical health. If the fins were nipped they should grow back, provided the convict is still not in the tank harassing the JD. The condition will continue to stay like that unless the JD is protected from being harassed.

Thats ok cichlid man. I appreciate you helping. The other pics didnt work right. But maybe this will help. The colored spots are all over the body for the most part. Yes , the con is moved. I have this stuff called STRESS COAT with aloe vera. It says it replaces the slime protective fish need in time of stress or use when fish are damaged due to disease or injury. Or should i just let it heal on its own?

Fins will grow back in time so there is no need to worry about that. If you want to hurry the procedure i would recomend Melafix. Jacks are very dificult to sex just by their appearance. A lot of people, no offense cichlid-man, believe that the fins have something to do with it, but they really dont make a difference. IMO the only sure way to sex one is by vent sexing, this is dificult to do by yourself unless you are properly trained. you can always wait until they grow up and see if you get a pair, then the one that lays the eggs is the female and the one that fertalizes them is the male :p
