thats not alot of help but I guess even the slightest bit of help is help none the less. ok how often do they spawn? either lab or dolphin. My peter davis is spawning again and it has only been 4 weeks if that since she spit out her first batch. and I havn't noticed either my labs or dolphins spawning. and I know I got one female dolphin cause she was spitting out babies in the net when I bought her, and there was only one other dolphin with her so I assume it is a breeding pair. just not in my tank. lol

Its about the only help you're going to get. You can not sex labs visually, that's really all there is to it ;) You can vent them, but it can be quite difficult to tell them apart accurately if you don't have any experiece venting them.

Can't help out with the moori (dolphins), as I've never kept them...but I believe they're the same way. You basically have to vent them to sex them, or see them spawning.

How large or mature are your blue dolphins?

As they mature the tips of the anal and dorsal fins extend beyond the base of the caudal fin while those of the females stop short of extending past the base. Later, the male's ultimately develop larger a nuchal hump. Gender differences among immature c. moorii, however, aren't apparent.
