Shark Move ??

I am wondering if anyone has any experience in moving a bamboo reef shark. I have had one now for the last 2 years and she has grown to about 2.5 feet long -- unfortunately "we" need to move...

I was thinking about moving her in the long rubermaid containers, but I do not think it is going to take kindly to be moved from the 180 gal. home into the container ?

The last time I had her intentionally out was when she got upgraded from the 125 to the 180... and that was back when she was only 18" and she was a handful to handle back then...

Just looking for ideas...

maybe set up the 125 in the back of a truck half flull with water and then drive her to the new house and put her back in the 180 ? i dunno i have never really moved sharks

Go to wetwebmedia.com they have a lot of information on sharks and the best way to transport them. You could also pass your question on to them and see what they say.

Good luck, I had a hard enough time moving a 1.5 foot clown knife fish. prepare to get soaked.

No idea, but you could maybe e-mail 'sea world' etc and see if they have any tips? Using anaesthetic to subdue the shark crossed my mind, but guess that could go disastrously wrong
