Shark Swimming in circles / crazy

Help! My Columbian shark seems to be sick he is constantly swimming in circles. I just read about Whirling Disease could this affect my other fish if it is this?

Isnt it in a small tank cant they get 24 inches long and are a brackish fish. I read they could be put in saltwater tanks.

I had the same thing happen to a Columbian. Had her for a year and then one day she swam around crazy, seemed like she was blind. Kept running into things. Then the next day she was at the bottom dead, with a mouth and belly full of the rocks from the bottom. Strangest thing, I never found out why. No one could explain it.
