sharks and loaches?

hallo, i hav a teng tank with a rainbow shark in it and also have a bigger tank cycling 25g. once it is cycled im going to move the shark to the bigger tank i also want to get 2 clown loaches for the bigger tank wud these get on ok? im also interrested in a pleco is this 2 many bottom feedrs? thanks.*twirlysmi *BOUNCINGS *BOUNCINGS *twirlysmi *ALL*

the shark should be fine, but the clown loaches need a bigger tank than 25gal. and a pleco will get huge! get some schooling fish top go with the shark, fully grown he should be a great bottom feeder.

thanks loach, ill leave the pleco out of the question. but i still want some loaches (there so nice) . these are the fish im planning:

1 rainbow shark
1 suckermouth catfish
2 angle fish
3 or 4 guppies
4 penguin tetras

is that ok? not to full?
should i wait a week or so for some algae to grow after the tank is cycled for the shark or will it be ok?

yeah if you've ever seen a full grown clown you'd know what he means. This plus the fact that they do better in schools of 5 or more means that a 25g is just not a good home in the long run.

we heres something for you fishface.i don't know what suckermouth catfish your refering to but pleco and suckermouth catfish are the same thing.the only suitable suckermouth cat is ottocinlus.i would pass on yoyo loaches or most loaches for that matter.loaches are very similar to the rainbow shark and they will compete for the same space and food.rainbow sharks aren't always the best community fish either,but some are tolerable enough sometimes.

yeah, on the tank at the fish shop they changed it to plecos so ill leave that i think i might get a yo yo loach then.
